Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 2cy: May 17 2002, Le Portel - Boulogne sur Mer, France (50.42 N - 01.34 E).

Primaries p4 is still juvenile and all the tail-feathers are still juvenile. Although Great Black-backed Gull can be very advanced in primary moult and rectrices moult, this is a clearly delayed bird. All the wing-coverts are worn and juvenile, all the tertials are still juvenile and in the scapulars the lowest row of lower scapulars is still juvenile.
