Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 4CY HES M015057 January 13 2006, Portalban, Switzerland. Picture: Stephane Aubry.

Visit Stephane's Pbase site.

Local from Switzerland: ringed as pullus on May 16 2003 at Fanel, Switzerland.

Immature looking bird, hard to distinguish from 3CY January birds. Aged by combination of features: 3rd gen primaries (but difficult to recognise as P10 mirror is lacking and no obvious white tip on P5), and pale iris. Immature patterns on bill, pale legs, and on coverts and lower tertials.
