Overall 'washed out' grey-brown plumage, with simple pattern on tertials and wing-coverts, lacking obvious notching (no post-stamp pattern on fringes of the coverts; coverts with wedge-shaped dark centres). Dark iris, dark bill, fleshy legs with dark shins.
