Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

In this bird, primary moult is pretty advanced: P7 has been shed, leaving only p8-p10 second generation. P5 is slightly longer than P4 and still has to grow a few inches. Wing covert moult includes the central median and greater coverts and some of the lesser coverts, which have been shed. The scapular area shows a few gaps; moult is in progress and the most recently replaced scapulars appear dark grey as in adult LBBG.
