Lesser Black-backed Gull- Kleine Mantelmeeuw (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG 2cy, September 30 2001, Dannes (near Le Portel), NW France.

An average patterned 2cy LBBG, with a few grey scapulars, vermiculated greater coverts, worn median coverts and active moult in the lesser coverts. The upper two tertials were moulted a while ago, the lower four shown neat fringes.

Primay moult at p8, which is full-grown.
