Lesser Black-backed Gull- Kleine Mantelmeeuw (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG 1cy: Hatching C-egg, May 30 2004, EMO - Maasvlakte, the Netherlands. 

A and B-pullus hatched. C-egg about hatching. Pulli hatched before June 10 fall in the first category of 1cy LBBG research. The total group was split into three sub-groups, depending on egg-laying date and hatching date of the chicks: hatching at about 1st June : 25 nests ("group 100"); hatching data between June 10 - 20 are category II / "200 nests"). Hatching date after June 20 are category III ("300 nests"). 
Out of the complete cluster of "group 100" nests (the early nests), we selected about 15 nests to describe in detail the plumage development by visiting these nests 3 times a week. We checked both left wing and right wing and documented details by digital photo's and video.
