Ringed as breeding adult female (4+cy) on the nest by Roland-Jan Buijs, on May 08 2008 at Vlissingen, The Netherlands.
Adult European Herring Gull, at the end of its moult to winter plumage (prebasic moult). The head and neck shows extensive dark streaking. This individual wears three rings: a Belgian metal ring on the left tibia (Brussels L61xxx, further details unknown), plus the Dutch metal and colour ring.
