Ringed as breeding adult (4+cy) on the nest, on May 16 2007, Kelderhuispolder, Texel, The Netherlands.

Adult European Herring Gull, moulting to winter (basic) plumage: P1 to P5 are new and fully grown, P6 is almost fully grown, P7 is just growing, P8 has been dropped. The head shows darker winter streaking than 2 weeks ago.
PMS = 31 (P1=5, P2=5, P3=5, P4=5, P5=5, P6=4, P7=1, P8=1, P9=0, P10=0).

Adult European Herring Gull, moulting to winter (basic) plumage. This individual is from the gull colony on the isle of Texel in the north of Holland; ringed gulls from this colony are rarely seen in the city of Leiden.
