Ringed as pullus on June 24 2010 at Kelderhuispolder - Texel, The Netherlands.
In gull colony, area not open to the public, photo published with permission. First-calendar year European Herring Gull, in full juvenile plumage. The fresh feathers have buffish-yellowish fringes which will diminish over time through wear. Note the pattern on the tertials on this individual.
