Ringed as winter adult (4+cy) on January 11 2009 at Antwerpen, Belgium.

Adult European Herring Gull moulting to winter (basic) plumage: P1 to P6 are new and fully grown, P7 is almost fully grown, P8 has been dropped. Note the small black mark on the outer web of P4 and the full band on P5 (see inset). Light streaking is visible on the head.
