Ringed as breeding adult (4+cy) on the nest on May 22 2009 at Zeebrugge, Belgium. With metal Brussels H153887.

Adult European Herring Gull, moulting to winter plumage (prebasic moult). P1 to P6 are new and fully grown, P7 is half size, P8 and P9 have been shed. PMS=35 (P1=5, P2=5, P3=5, P4=5, P5=5, P6=5, P7=3, P8=1, P9=1, P10=0). The head and neck show light streaking. The old outer primaries which have been faded to a dark brown contrast with the new and fresh looking inner primaries. Small black markings are visible on both mandibles.
