Gulls in NW Europe

Ringed as juvenile on June 19 2010 at Europoort - Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Second-calendar year European Herring Gull, in first-winter plumage (first prebasic moult). Most of the scapulars have been replaced by second-generation feathers, while the first-generation tertials and wing coverts are showing wear, especially at the fringes.
