Herring Gull 3cy (argenteus) August 29 2012, IJmuiden, the Netherlands.
Not ringed, but plumage suggests local origin. Best classified "sub-adult" once the old primaries have been dropped, but several features point to 3cy: dark bill in August, dark iris, very small tip on P7, black in new rectrices, pattern on coverts. P7/-.
