Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 2cy: June 14 2002, Le Portel - Boulogne sur Mer, France (50.42 N - 01.34 E).

Primary moult stage: p7 missing. The tail is still completely juvenile. 
The upper three tertials are second generation. The lower tertails are missing. The greater coverts #1-3 have been replaced, #4-6 are still juvenile and the outer greater coverts are missing. The median covert #1-2 are fresh second generation, #3-5 are old second generation and were included in the post-juvenile moult. The outer medians are fresh second generation. The lower lesser coverts are in active moult with two feathers still juvenile and many feathers missing. About 40% of the lesser coverts is still juvenile and about 30% has been replaced. The outer lessers are missing.
