Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 2cy: August 2000, Boulogne/Mer, France (50.42 N - 01.34 E).

Primary p7 is fully grown and p10 is still present. All feathers have been replaced by second generation feathers. Note the neat white fringes in the median coverts. Some of the replaced feathers have worn fringes already, see e.g. the scapulars.
