Ringed in Sweden, Stockholm 9158322. Ringed as pullus on 18 June 2002 at Rogsta, Remmarharet, Sweden (61.51N 17.27E). P8 fully grown. All coverts and scapulars have been renewed and show neat white fringes at the tips. The clean piano-key pattern of 1st generation feathers have been replaced by a more variegated pattern. The recently replaced coverts (central greater coverts) have a buffish base, which turns pure white when the feathers become older. The outer primary P10 is still old, P7 is already fully grown. Note the small white tips and rounded tops of the new 2nd generation primaries.
