Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 3Y0 2nd cycle (2CY), October 18, 2015, Cape May, New Jersey. Picture: Laura Gaudette.

Banded with black 3Y0, banded as pullus on July 15 2014 on Appledore Island, Maine. The nest number was 14G516. This is the first report for 3Y0.

No coverts or tertials replaced in partial moult, so all are 2nd gen, superficially making the bird look like a juvenile/1st cycle. P8 fully grown.
