Great Black-backed Gull JAY2 (Larus marinus) 1cy: October 22 2001, Westkapelle, the Netherlands (51.33 N, 3.25 E).

Ringed left blue JAY2, hatched in southernmost Norway, June 22 2001 at Sånumstranda, Mandal, Vest-Agder, Norway (58.01N,07.25E). Until August 20 2001 JAY2 was still near the same place where it was ringed and was two months later recovered at Westkapelle. Only a few lower upper scapulars have been replaced but all the wing-coverts and tertials are still juvenile.
