Larus fuscus fuscus adult, August 03 2002, Stockholm, Sweden.

A pitch-black adult with a brown hue on the edges of the greater coverts and on the lowest lower scapulars. Note the lesser coverts in the carpal edge which are in good condition, still showing the slightly paler grey fringe and lacking the brown hue, present in the old feathers.
